Interior design is a multifaceted profession that includes conceptual development, space planning, site examinations, and research.

Good interior design can make you feel safe and secure in your environment. Good interior design is also known to boost productivity and creativity. Your environment plays a key role in influencing how you think and behave.

Effects of color on mood: Warm colors like red, yellow and orange suggest higher arousal feelings, such as love, passion, happiness, and anger. Cool colors, like blue, green and purple are linked to calmness, sadness and indifference. Colors can trigger these arousal states and emotions.

Effects of textures: Textures help to keep a space from feeling flat or one dimensional. Layering textures helps to add depth too. The layering of materials, colors and shapes all amount to give your interiors an overall texture which can define the look and feel of a space.

Effects of lines: Horizontal lines make a room looks wider or longer. Vertical Lines: Lofty, solid, formal, imposing, controlled. Vertical lines lift the eye upward and make windows, and sometimes, entire interiors, appear taller or higher. They have the ability to lift the mind and the spirit as well.
